Again this year we celebrate "3rd Night of the Bonfires", on September 7.

Formerly bonfires were lit at the gates of the farms for the end of the harvest, in full campaign raisins

Formerly as most villagers living in the villages, and coinciding with the grape harvest and passes, when night came on 7 September, huge bonfires were at the gates of their farms. The young men of the village were making the road to the farms, to visit the girls. And so the night passed, from farmhouse to farmhouse, eating, drinking, singing folk songs and dancing around campfires, especially songs from the wheel.

During the tour, the boys set fire to the stubble that had around the roads, for easy viewing. Thus, from the people saw the sign that the fire was leaving behind.

Also in different corners of the village were small fires. Neighbors gathered wood and cardboard to burn. It was made a doll with old clothes, he put a sign with your name and was put to the stake. Around the fire, the neighbors ate and drank, and sang traditional songs of the people.

At present, they are not as abundant bonfires that are lit on the field, because of the danger involved, but from the Association "Los Tajos" if they are to continue the habit of meeting with friends and relatives in the villages, to eat, drink and remember the songs of the wheel, for the enjoyment of young and old.

This year was held at the Cortijo Las Monjas.

DOLLS COMPETITION RULES 2012
 

· FIRST: This competition is aimed at all / as those / as neighbors / as of Axarquia. who want to participate privately or on behalf of a group belonging to the Axarquia.

· SECOND: Registration will take place the night of September 7.

· THIRD: The registration period ends at 22:30 pm on September 4.

· FOURTH: The jury will assess the submitted Dolls appointed by the Board of the Association shall consist of the cliffs and 5 members.

· FIVE: be valued above all originality.

· SIXTH: There will be two categories:

- Children up to 16 years.

- Adults

· SEVENTH: Three prizes will be awarded for each category.

· EIGHTH: Participation in this competition implies acceptance of these rules. The jury's decision is final.

III Noche de las Candelas, 7 de septiembre de 2012

Este año vuelve la Noche de las Candelas, el día 7 de Septiembre.

La Asociación de Vecinos de los Tajos, de Alfarnatejo, en su afán de recuperar costumbres y tradiciones vuelve por tercer año consecutivo con la organización de esta fiesta.

Antaño se prendían candelas a las puertas de los cortijos con motivo del final de la vendimia, en plena campaña de las pasas

Antiguamente como mayoría de los vecinos del pueblo vivían en los cortijos, y coincidiendo con la recogida de la uva y pasa, cuando llegaba la noche del 7 de septiembre, formaban grandes hogueras a las puertas de sus cortijos. Los mozos del pueblo, emprendían el camino hacía los cortijos, para visitar a las mozas. Y así pasaban la noche, de cortijo en cortijo; comiendo, bebiendo; cantando y bailando con canciones populares alrededor de las hogueras, sobre todo canciones de la Rueda.

Durante el recorrido, lo mozos prendían fuego a los rastrojos que había en los alrededores de los caminos, para facilitar su visión. Así, desde el pueblo se veía el rastro que la lumbre iba dejando tras ellos.

También en diferentes rincones del pueblo se hacían pequeñas hogueras. Los vecinos recogían leña y cartones para quemar. Se fabricaba un muñeco con ropas viejas, se le ponía un cartel con su nombre y se echaba a la hoguera. Al rededor del fuego, los vecinos comían y bebía, y cantaban caciones típicas del pueblo.

En la actualidad, no son tan abundantes las candelas, que se prenden en el campo, por el peligro que conlleva, pero desde la Asociación los Tajos si se quiere que siga la costumbre de reunirse con amigos y familiares en los cortijos, para comer, beber y recordar las canciones de la Rueda, para el disfrute de pequeños y mayores.

Este año celebrará en la Era de Cortijo Las Monjas.

BASES DEL CONCURSO DE MUÑECOS 2012

·        PRIMERA: El presente concurso va dirigido a todos/as aquellos/as vecinos/as de  la Axarquía. que quieran participar a nivel particular o en representación de algún colectivo perteneciente a la Axarquía.

·       SEGUNDA: Las inscripciones se realizarán la misma noche del día 7 de septiembre.

·       TERCERA: El plazo de inscripción finalizará a las 22.30 horas de la noche del día 4 de septiembre.

·       CUARTA: El jurado que valorará los Muñecos presentados será designado por la Junta Directiva de la Asociación Los Tajos y estará compuesto por 5 miembros.

·       QUINTA: Se valorará sobre todo la originalidad.

·       SEXTA: Habrá dos categorías:

-  NIÑOS hasta 16 años.

-  ADULTOS

·       SÉPTIMA: Se otorgarán tres premios para  cada categoría.

 PRIMER PREMIO: regalo sorpresa

 SEGUNDO PREMIO: regalo sorpresa

 TERCER PREMIO: regalo sorpresa

·       OCTAVA: La participación en este concurso implica la aceptación de estas bases. La decisión del jurado será inapelable.
